Want to Learn How 2 Detail?
Here are four articles for beginners, written by us, that cover the basics of car detailing. They offer valuable background information to help you get started before diving deeper into our blog. Feel free to check them out at your own pace.
What is Detailing?
We restore a car chemically through detailing, carefully avoiding extreme actions like repainting. The term “detailing” reflects our meticulous attention to every aspect of the car’s condition. Unlike a typical car wash, detailing involves a more thorough process, dedicating extra time and effort to enhance the vehicle’s appearance and protect its surfaces.
What is PDR?
Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) is a method used to remove dents from metal without the need for body filler or repainting. This technique is commonly used at body shops and used car lots, especially in areas that experience frequent hail. PDR is a fast and cost-effective way to fix dents while preserving the car’s original paint.
What chemicals do I need?
Use dedicated car shampoo, or for a budget option, try a wash-n-wax. Get a wheel cleaner that matches your wheels or an all-wheel cleaner, plus glass cleaner and an all-purpose cleaner (APC).
Do I need certifications?
Not necessarily! If you want to start detailing and move beyond just washing your car, you don’t need any certifications.
